Wellington, FL- World Equestrian Brands sponsored the best overall turnout winner for the Zada WEF Dressage CDI Jog presentation. Judges, Axel Steiner and Cara Whitham observed the 61 contestants and made their decisions rapidly to keep the FEI jog moving at a good pace. Best overall presentation for male and female went to Marco Bernal in a striking herringbone tweed jacket, leading Halbgott. Both horse and handler looked sharp and professional. Lily Zilo and her handsome partner, Stradivaril 4, leaned into the wind and garnered top female turnout honors, in a smart scarf and diamond-studded cap.
In a country fair atmosphere, everyone was hanging on to their hats and their horses while cheering on their friends. Planning for one turnout winner, Robin Moore, World Equestrian Brands Brand Manager, donated a beautiful Vespucci Double Raised Engraved Leather halter to the winning partners. But judges, Steiner and Whitman chose a male and female winner for the turnout, as is tradition. Lisa Gorretta, President of The Paddock Saddlery, quickly stepped up to the plate providing a second engraved Vespucci engraved halter for the dual win. A good effort, combined with an equally good “save” on Gorretta’s part, added to the fun and camaraderie the sport can usually count on from its sponsors. The Paddock Saddlery carries several of the World Equestrian Brands lines including Vespucci halters and bridles and Amerigo saddles.
World Equestrian Brands continues to be a very visible sponsor at the 2008 Zada WEF Dressage CDI. Saturday, March 22nd they will sponsor the FEI Grand Prix Freestyle CDI with a beautiful Weymouth Double Bridle with the double raised nose and browband going to the winner. The next day World Equestrian Brands will sponsor the FEI Intermediaire Freestyle CDI winner, who will enjoy an E. A. Mattes Square Pad.
The combined sponsorship of The Paddock Saddlery and World Equestrian Brands for the Jog Presentation is commendable. Both companies are active in the dressage community and provide their clientele with quality driven and trusted products throughout the year. Their generous efforts to support the jog presentation is one more example of the good will and interest these sponsors have for their clients.
